About Melissa

First and foremost, I am an adventurer at heart. It was a long road to blend my love of the outdoors and a career into the fulfilling path I’m currently on! I own and manage Wild Outdoors Media and am also a co-owner of Women Who Explore, a company dedicated to empowering women in the outdoors.

I currently live in Arizona, but I travel a LOT! I have the perfect van setup to working remotely and will drive anywhere in the Southwest region. I love trying new outdoor activities and visiting new locations and absolutely love that my work enables my passions. Recently I summited Kilimanjaro, trekked the Tour du Mont Blanc, swam with whale sharks in the Riviera Maya and backpacked the world’s longest slot canyon. Hiking, mountain biking, backpacking and climbing are all passions of mine, but climbing really lights my fire.

I love hazy IPAs, watching the quail in my backyard, the sound of my boyfriend making morning coffee, perusing local farmers markets, a decent amount of alone time, CAAMP on replay, and a classic old fashioned.
